Culminating Project – Travel Agent Pamphlet
For the end of the unit project, the students will be required to make a trifold pamphlet giving information about Roman-occupied Israel OR modern Israel. In essence, they will be playing the role of travel agent, putting together information that might convince a family to take a vacation there. In it they will need to describe:
Pamphlet Requirements:
W7.7 - Conduct short research projects to answer a question, drawing on several sources and generating additional related, focused questions for further research and investigation
RUBRIC: A score out of four will be given out of each of the following categories:
Pamphlet Design - Neatness
4 - The student produced work that was very attractive with no flaws.
3- The student produced work that was adequately neat and presentable.
2 - The student produced work that was slightly sloppy but presentable.
1 - The student produced work that was very sloppy and showed little effort.
Pamphlet Design - Color
4 -The student produced an original design that was eye-catching and full of details and colors.
3- The student produced work that had a good design and use of colors.
2- The student produced work that lacked thought behind their design and colors.
1- The student showed virtually no thought behind their design and no colors.
Pamphlet Design - Organization
4- The student produced work that was meticulously well organized.
3- The student produced work that was fairly well organized.
2- The student produced work that was slightly organized.
1- The student produced work that was not very organized at all.
The Land: Geography and Famous Landmarks
4- All required topics were presented.
3- Most required topics were presented.
2- Only half the required topics were presented.
1- Only one or no required topics were presented.
The People: Social classes and Attire
4- All required topics were presented.
3- Most required topics were presented.
2- Only half the required topics were presented.

- The culture including food, customs, and music.

- Reflection Questions: Each question should have approximately 4-5 sentences for the answer. You will need to display these on your digital portfolio and have this in the background behind you while you are presenting.
